Brooke Mirenda
Brooke Mirenda is the President and CEO of Sunshine State Economic Development Corporation (‘SEDCO’) headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. SEDCO is a non-profit certified development company (‘CDC’), certified by the US Small Business Administration (‘SBA’) to facilitate commercial loans on behalf of the SBA to small business owners throughout the state of Florida. SEDCO is responsible for over $1.8 billion in total capital investment.
In her role as CEO, Brooke is committed to economic development through job creation and the success of small businesses. She is responsible for all strategy, operations and ensuring the mission of the organization is met. She is intimately involved in working legislatively to promote enhancing SBA programs. She has been invited to testify in front of Congress twice, advocating on behalf of her industry and access to capital for small business owners.
Brooke currently serves on the Board for Neighborly Care Network (Meals on Wheels), in Pinellas County. She is also the Regional Director of NADCO (SBA/CDC trade organization), which covers 8 states in the southeast region. She is heavily involved in mentoring and has a passion for giving back to the community. She is married with 5 kids and resides in Seminole, Florida.
